Regional Arts Commission / 6128 Delmar Blvd.
free and open to the public.
Artists and creatives – filmmakers, actors, musicians, etc. – are invited to attend KICKSTARTER School to learn about the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. The event will be led by Stephanie Pereira, director of arts program for the site at the Regional Arts Commission, 6128 Delmar Blvd.
During the event, Pereira will explain how to structure a project, what rewards work best, and other tips on how to be successful on Kickstarter. In addition to Pereira’s presentation, a panel of artists – Nicole Hollway (Storycube Sukkah); James McAnally (The Luminary Center for the Arts); Bryan Walsh (The Screwed Arts Collective) – will share how they used Kickstarter to fund projects.
This event is sponsored by CAM, the Regional Arts Commission (www.art-stl.com), and the St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (www.vlaa.org).
