April 24, 2013
Free and open to the public. Cash bar.
Join Bad at Sports’s members Duncan MacKenzie and Richard Holland, CAM Director Lisa Melandri, and curators Dominic Molon and Kelly Shindler for an opening celebration of their presentation at CAM.
Founded in 2005, Bad at Sports is best known for its weekly podcast featuring artists and “art worlders” talking about contemporary art and the community that participates in it. The group’s project at CAM will consist of a reconstruction of a previous interview with famed contemporary artist Jeff Wall as well as a series of public interviews with a number of people integral to the St. Louis art community, including Jessica Baran of Fort Gondo Compound for the Arts, Juan William Chavez and Kiersten Torrez of the Northside Workshop, and Daniel McGrath and Dana Turkovic of Isolation Room/Gallery Kit. The interviews will take place in CAM’s lobby and are free and open to the public. They will be available afterwards on CAM’s website and through the Bad at Sports podcast.
Opening night features an interview with CAM Director Lisa Melandri. View the complete schedule of interviews here.
