Part of the Occupational Therapy exhibition, Sanatorium is a living artwork by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes that explores art and psychology. This transient clinic provides short “therapies,” using a combination of ritual, play, and experimentation, run by volunteer “therapists.”
In this experiment, each partner in a couple chooses a fruit to represent her/himself. Combining the ingredients, the participants make juice and analyze the flavor. The objective of this therapy is to discover one person’s compatibility with another.
