CAM welcomes Thomas P. Campbell, Director and CEO of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as the 2017 Susan Sherman Distinguished Speaker. One of Campbell’s most recent initiatives has been to provide greater exhibition space to the Museum’s contemporary and modern art collection at the Met Breuer, the former home of the Whitney Museum.
Each year, the Susan Sherman Distinguished Speaker series brings scholarship and art commentary of the highest caliber to St. Louis. Past speakers have included Thelma Golden, Michael Kimmelman, Maya Lin, Glenn Lowry, Beatrix Ruf, Amy Sadao, Jerry Saltz, Franklin Sirmans, and Heidi Zuckerman.
This program is generously sponsored by St. Louis Public Radio.
