Each month, CAM spotlights a member whose support has been instrumental to the Museum. Learn who these members are, what they love about the Museum, and why they decided to join. This is a great opportunity to get to know others within the CAM community and celebrate members’ support.

Why is CAM important to St. Louis?
CAM brings programs like New Art in the Neighborhood and Teen Museum Studies to the St. Louis community. These programs allow the next generation to learn about contemporary art, develop their own portfolio, and work with visiting artist to get hands-on experience.
What is one of your favorite programs at CAM?
CAM’s education department does a fantastic job of working with kids of all ages and demographics. One of my proudest moments as the Education Committee Chair was when PNC Arts Alive funded our Art Bus, which brings CAM to the St. Louis Public Schools. We had found that schools were unable to get students to the Museum, and CAM had no way to get to the students. A bus seemed like a logical solution! Now, CAM is able to bring arts education directly to classrooms through a virtual tour of the Museum followed by an art project based on the current exhibitions.
What do you hope for the future of CAM?
It is an exciting time to be a part of CAM. Every time I go there I experience something new. I would love to see more people in the St. Louis area take advantage of what CAM has to offer and experience all the exhibitions and programs that it brings to our community.
