Be a part of the art!
Sanatorium is a participatory artwork. CAM seeks enthusiastic, dedicated individuals with a passion for contemporary art to participate as volunteer Sanatorium therapists. Take advantage of the opportunity to work directly with the Museum and help bring this project to life.
Throughout the run of the exhibition (May 1–August 16, 2015), volunteer therapists will greet visitors and facilitate activities designed by the artist. After the show closes in August, volunteers will be invited to a special thank-you celebration. The person who contributes the most hours will win a spa treatment, and everyone logging at least forty hours will be entered to win exhibition-themed prizes.
Volunteer therapists administer a series of four daily therapies—Museum of Hypothetical Lifetimes, Citileaks, Ex-Voto, and Epitaphs—within the galleries for two-hour shifts: 11:00 am–1:00 pm and 2:00–4:00 pm during open hours (Wednesday–Sunday), with an additional 6:00–8:00 pm shift on Thursdays and Fridays. Learn about the daily treatments here.
Four additional therapies are offered as part of special programs on select evenings and weekends: Vaccine against Violence, Compatibility Test for Couples, Mudras, and Transmigration Express. Volunteer shift times are the same as above. Learn about the special program treatments here.
