Established in 2003, the Great Rivers Biennial is a collaborative exhibition program presented by CAM and the Gateway Foundation. The initiative identifies talented emerging and mid-career artists working in the greater St. Louis metro area, provides them with financial assistance, and elevates their profile across the Midwest and national art communities.

This weeklong event connects the public to artists’ studios across the city, creating a unique opportunity to promote dialogue about art-making in St. Louis.

Etsy is the world’s handmade marketplace. As a website and company, Etsy acts as a site of commerce dedicated to connecting the buyer to the maker. Every year, CAM works directly with Etsy and local Etsy partners to choose a limited amount of artists of the highest caliber to participate in the sale.

The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis is seeking proposals from local artists to work with students in CAM’s summer 2013 Teen Museum Studies program. Held each summer, Teen Museum Studies offers a small group of teens the opportunity to learn from CAM staff members in all departments and to plan a mini-exhibition from start to finish.
