DESCRIPTION:Teresa Baker and Ferring Foundation Chief Curator Dean Daderko will be in conversation about the artist’s exhibition Somewhere Between Earth and Sky on the occasion of its opening at CAM. \nRegistration is encouraged; please click here to sign up. \nMembers at the Sustainer level and above\, email members@camstl.org to request reserved seating. \nAccessibility notes \n\nTo request an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter for this event\, please contact programs@camstl.org with as much prior notice possible to ensure availability.\n\nAbout the artist \n\nTeresa Baker received a BA from Fordham University in 2008 and an MFA from California College of the Arts in 2013. She has had recent solo exhibitions at Broadway Gallery\, New York\, NY; The Arts Club of Chicago\, Chicago\, IL; de Boer\, Los Angeles\, CA; the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art\, Scottsdale\, AZ; Halsey McKay\, East Hampton\, NY; and Pied-à-terre\, San Francisco\, CA. She has participated in group exhibitions hosted by institutions including the Hammer Museum\, Los Angeles\, CA; Nerman Museum\, Overland Park\, KS; and Ballroom Marfa\, Marfa\, TX. Baker is a 2022 Joan Mitchell Fellow\, and was an Artist-in-Residence at Fogo Island Arts in Newfoundland in 2022. She was the 2020 Native American Fellow at the Ucross Foundation in Ucross\, WY\, and was a Tournesol Award Artist-in-Residence at Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito\, CA. Baker is a 2025 Guggenheim Fellow.
