SUMMARY:"Music as the Message: If You Can Breathe\, You Can Sing" Performance
DESCRIPTION:Music as the Message (MaM) was created in 2020 by Emmy Award-winning soprano Adrienne Danrich in response to the need for communal sharing and healing\, despite our physical isolation in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. MaM’s mission is to create shared musical experiences\, celebrating the unifying power of music to inspire healing\, joy\, laughter\, love and most importantly\, community. As part of a two-day retreat\, two free public performances will be offered on March 21. \nAt 12:00 pm\, join Danrich and members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra’s IN UNISON chorus for If You Can Breathe\, You Can Sing\, a participatory concert. This community-centered performance will provide an opportunity for attendees to experience how singing can heal the body\, mind\, and soul.  \nFollowing this performance\, participants are also invited to enjoy the performance Hearing Color\, Seeing Sound at 2:30 pm.  \nThis performance is free and open to the public.
