SUMMARY:Performance: Artwork and Arias with Opera Theatre of St. Louis
DESCRIPTION:CAM and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (OTSL) present an interdisciplinary event inspired by the work of artist Martine Gutierrez. Just as Gutierrez’s exhibit allows viewers to experience the fantasy and illusion of consumer spectacle\, so too will OTSL’s singers subvert the artistic trope of woman as victim with a musical program exploring sexuality\, femininity\, and power. Doors open at 6:30 pm. \nTo ensure the health and safety of company members and guests\, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis will be checking for proof of COVID-19 vaccination or of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test within 72 hours of the event start or a rapid test within 24 hours)\, which is required to attend this event.
