Join a conversation with Professor Marlon M. Bailey\, Maxi Glamour\, and Julian Kevon Glover\, PhD about the complexities of gender and sexuality that emerge within African diasporic cultural formations and the power of performance to transcend limitations and build community. Following the conversation\, a light dinner will be provided\, as well as a guided tour of the exhibition that inspired the program\, Jacolby Satterwhite: Spirits Roaming on the Earth. \nThis event will include ASL interpretation provided by student interpreters from St. Louis Community College.\n \nSpeakers \n/ Marlon Bailey (he/him)\, Professor of African and African American Studies and Women\, Gender and Sexuality Studies\, at Washington University in St. Louis \n/ Maxi Glamour (they/them)\, artist\, philosopher\, activist \n/ Julian Kevon Glover (they/them/she/her)\, Assistant Professor of Gender\, Sexuality and Women’s Studies and Dance & Choreography at Virginia Commonwealth University
