SUMMARY:Fluid Perspectives: Pack Dance Performance (at CAM) - Sold out
DESCRIPTION:This event is sold out.  \nThis two-part dance performance explores the synchronicity between two exhibitions: Matisse and the Sea at the Saint Louis Art Museum (SLAM) and Paul Chan: Breathers at CAM\, both of which highlight Henri Matisse’s bathers and playful movements of shape and color. Both pieces are conceived of and choreographed by Pack Dance Company. \nOn April 18\, a limited audience will enjoy an in-gallery performance at CAM around Chan’s Breathers series.  \nDoors open at 7 pm.  \nThis performance has limited seating available\, and prior registration is required. Reserve a free ticket for the April 18 performance at CAM here. \nAccessibility and Content Notes  \n\nThe performance features structured improvisation with an estimated run time of 25 minutes. It takes place in the galleries\, “in the round.”\nAudience members will enjoy the performance either in one of the limited seating in chairs\, seated on the concrete ground/steps\, or standing. Registered audience members may contact Michelle Dezember at mdezember@camstl.org to request a chair. Requests will be granted on a first come\, first served basis with a prioritization for need.\nCameras will be present filming the performance.\n\nThe second part takes place at SLAM on April 26 with an expanded performance in the Farrell Auditorium.
