Free and open to the public. Cash bar. Half-price drinks for members. Cuisine by Kitchen Kulture for sale in the café.
Enjoy an evening of art, music, and culture the first Friday of every month. In partnership with KDHX, DJs and musicians will present a variety of music responding to the exhibitions, museum staff will lead tours, and the bar will be open.
On May 3, DJ Boogieman and DJ Invisible Cola, performing under the name Funk, Inc., will present an “America vs. Canada” DJ set in response to CAM’s current installation by art collective Bad at Sports. The set takes its theme from Bad at Sports’s founder Duncan MacKenzie’s Canadian heritage. Funk, Inc. will play soundclips and voice samples along with music by U.S. and Canadian artists. Who’s got better pop? You decide.
Kitchen Kulture Menu:
- Snack trio: spiced nuts, truffled heirloom popcorn, and assorted pickles ($8)
- Cured Irish salmon on pumpernickel toast points with horseradish crema, pickled shallots, dill and caviar ($8)
- Spring onion and goat cheese tart with shaved radish and arugula salad ($10)
