Artist FAQ

Open Studios STL

Saturday, October 7, and Sunday, October 8, 2017

Now in its twelfth year, Open Studios STL features St. Louis-based artists who open their studios and art spaces to the public over the course of one weekend. Studios and gallery spaces will be open Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, 2017, 10:00 am–5:00 pm. More information and registration will be available in late June 2017.

The Open Studios STL mobile website—openstudios-stl.org—will provide a complete list of participating artists and events as well as a searchable map. This new digital format allows us to include an even wider array of artists and offers the chance to continue to connect with them throughout the year.

artist registration & PARTICIPATION

      • Artist registration for Open Studios STL 2017 will open in late June.

      • To be eligible for participation, artists must maintain working studios or spaces in St. Louis City or County. CAM also encourages individual artist participation from those working in co-working spaces, on university campuses, alternative spaces, residency programs, and arts organizations that host working studio spaces.

      • CAM highly encourages artists to share space or participate collectively in the program. Studios that are located near each other and artists that group together often receive greater attendance.

      • Please note, artists are responsible for insurance coverage in their spaces.

      • Please make sure your space is safe and free of hazards.
