Join St. Louis-based artist Heather Bennett on a walk through Lisa Yuskavage’s exhibition and listen to her perspective on the art. After the tour, the group will visit Bruno David Gallery across the street to see Bennett’s work on view.
Heather Bennett lives and works in St. Louis. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions at such venues as the Contemporary Arts Center, Syracuse; Delaware Art Museum, Wilmington; Eva Hober Gallery, Paris; Graffit Gallery, Varna, Bulgaria; FIAC Contemporary Art Fair, Paris; University of Alabama at Birmingham; and Gallerie S.E., Bergen, Norway. Bennett is the recipient of The Somerville Art Prize, New York (2002); William Graff Travel Abroad Scholarship, Hunter College, MFA (2000); and Marsha Hertzman Blasingame Award for Printmaking (1994). She earned her MFA in painting at Hunter College, New York. Currently, Bennett is a lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis, and she is represented by Stephan Stoyanov Gallery, New York.
