New Art in the Neighborhood Middle School Intensive

Launched in the fall of 2012, LEAP, New Art in the Neighborhood’s Middle School Intensive, is CAM’s newest education program.

Designed for the young artist interested in an in-depth exploration of contemporary art practices and mediums, this ten-week-long after-school program gives students the opportunity to work closely with professional St. Louis-based artists and educators in an atmosphere of focused attention and mentorship.

Fifteen students from the greater St. Louis area meet every Thursday afternoon for ten weeks to focus on one particular contemporary practice or medium each semester. Students in grades 6-8 (Ages 10-13 years) are eligible for LEAP.
