Join us for our annual summer Family Day at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis! This free, drop-in event celebrates creativity, connection, and community. Families are invited to enjoy an engaging morning of live jazz performances by HEAL Center for the Arts, a puppet meet and greet with St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, and a scavenger hunt with Pulitzer Arts Foundation. We’ll have free snacks from Selma’s Treats, sodas and seltzers compliments of 2nd Shift Brewing, and free samples of frozen custard from Ted Drewes—now available at the CAM Café!
Outside, explore the YMCA mobile game bus, yard games in the courtyard, as well as activities and resources courtesy of Freddie Ford Family Foundation and Washington University St. Louis’ Office for Socially Engaged Practice.
Beyond CAM’s Family Day event, families are invited to spend the morning exploring more arts experiences throughout the Grand Center Arts District. At neighboring institutions like the Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries, families can enjoy free face painting and hands-on activities. St. Louis Public Radio will also be set up in the Public Media Commons, where families can record a radio greeting or testimonial that might end up on air and get a temporary tattoo. Kids In The Arts District will be hosting a free musical performance by Marko Polo at The Listening Room @ High Low. Pick up a Grand Center Family Day BINGO card to guide your adventure through the district and earn free swag.
