Start 2026 off right with mindfulness and hands-on art making! Join Amata Doods for a special New Year’s version of “Go With the Flow,” the free-drawing event she hosts at Screwed Arts Collective every month. Participants will create communal drawings and set personal intentions with ease. Enjoy a judgement-free environment to focus, silently reflect, and deeply tap into flow to help start the year anew. As always on First Fridays, our galleries will be open one hour later than usual for some late night art browsing.

About the artist
Aimee Wilkinson, who makes art under the moniker “Amata Doods,” is all about flow. “Amata” translates to “beloved” and “doods” translates as “death.” Making art as Amata Doods is all about falling in love with the process of ego death and not letting your conscious mind take full control during the creation process. She hosts “Go With The Flow” monthly at Screwed Arts Collective on Cherokee Street, a drawing event open to all, including folks that don’t identify as visual artists. Each month features a local musical act and is held in a communal space where creatives can connect with each other and reconnect with drawing for the sake of pleasure, not commerce.
