Play Dates are free and open to all! Each month, families with children of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this online program. Play Dates follow a monthly theme that invites close looking, hands-on art making, and a participatory performance by a guest artist. This month’s Play Date explores how contrast makes artwork more interesting, with examples will from the exhibition Stories of Resistance. Enjoy a performance Dances of India‘s Nartana Premachandra, who focuses on how contrast can be used in dance. Then join along as CJ makes sculptural forms from construction paper, drawing and adding design with a contrasting color.
Watch all of this season’s Play Dates any time you choose here! For hands-on activities to go along with the watch party, check out CAM’s Art Toolkit.
