Derek Fordjour: SHELTER offers new meanings as CAM invites visitors back to experience art in person again. After Shelter, a microprogram, invites visitors to record reflections on their COVID-19 experiences within the immersive installation. The questions, asked by CAM staff, include: What does it feel like to be experiencing this artwork right now? How have the last four months shaped you? What is your hope for the future? The audio interviews will be archived and shared with StoryCorps, the national nonprofit whose mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories.
This program is free and available on a first come, first served basis. To participate, please ask a staff member during your visit.
Visitors will be interviewed individually within the installation by museum staff, following a touchless process that is limited to one person or group at a time and observes health and safety standards.
