Teen Museum Studies Exhibition Opportunity

Teen Museum Studies (TMS) is a summer intensive internship that engages high school students in direct exposure to museum careers, develops collaboration and critical thinking skills, and offers the chance to select and work with a St. Louis-based artist to organize an exhibition in CAM’s Education Galleries.

An essential part of TMS is the involvement of local artists. Eligible artists are invited to submit an exhibition proposal for consideration; the selected TMS artist receives a $1,500 stipend.

2026 Exhibition

A $1,500 stipend will be provided for time and supplies. Due to the short turnaround time, artists are encouraged to present existing artworks. Please see TMS Artist Exhibition Proposal Guidelines for further information on preparing an application.

Exhibition Proposals are open April 1 through May 18, 2025.

Application

The application requires the following materials:

  • Cover letter describing interest in exhibiting as part of Teen Museum Studies
  • A one-page proposal detailing works to be included
  • Up to 10 images of artwork (jpegs) and image list
  • Artist statement
  • CV

Please see TMS Artist Exhibition Proposal Guidelines for further information on preparing an application.

An artist selected for Teen Museum Studies remains eligible for the Great Rivers Biennial.

Applications will open April 1, 2025.
